Dobropoljana the village in a cove on the north-eastern part of the island. It is located below the highest peak on Bokolj (274 m). Economy is based on farming, viticulture, olive growing, fishing and seafaring. The harbor is protected from southerly and westerly winds and provides good shelter for smaller yachts. First mentioned in 1270th and intensely populated in the 17th century by refugees from the Zadar hinterland.
