The natural and cultural wealth of this lovely Slavonian village is emphasised by its variety. The prosperous forests are a habitat for many wild animals, and the flood plains of the Sava offer a habitat for wetland plants and animals.
The greatest sites of cultural interest are the “stanovi” – properties outside the village which included all the agricultural buildings where animals, the children who looked after them and the older inhabitants lived, whilst the younger generations remained in the village. It is possible to see how life was lived in the “stanovi” at the Stanarski meetings.
Among sacral buildings, there is the Church of Sv. Lovro (St. Lawrence), a preserved cultural monument built in the 19th century, the Church of Uzašašća Kristovog (the Ascension of Christ) in the town graveyard, and many chapels in the village and the surrounding area. There is also a valuable picture gallery and ethnological collection in the home of the painter Ana Verić and the cultural event “Konji bijelci“(White horses).
