Nečujam is a bay and village on the island of Šolta in Croatia in the Split-Dalmatia County. It is connected by the D111 highway. Nečujam has 208 inhabitants.
Nečujam is a tourist center of the island of Solta . Fishing or agriculture today no longer play a role. The scattered settlement is especially holiday residences, most of Splitern or Slovenes. Now the only apartment village on the island, an economically successful projects , is now Slovenian ownership and is located in the cove of Supetar . 2009 saw a major project of futuristic architecture firm Richard Hywel Evans stir. On the headland between the Podkamenica and Maslinica an extensive marina to be built with a pier over the Piškera with a rotating hotel where every room should have a sea view . So far no investor was found . On a part of the proposed site , vis á vis the bays Podkamenica and Maslinica , currently produces a complex of villas with eleven houses .
